Depthoffeels is a visual narrative on self acceptance through photography, words and art.

There is no secret behind my photography. I just literally take pictures of what I see, add filters, textures, grain and other nitty gritty stuff in order to communicate more what I felt while taking those pictures, and add captions for context. Photography was actually passed on to me by my very supportive father. He and my mom have always encouraged us to make sense of what talents and skills we have, so I guess this is a way to make sense of my photography.

Hehe. I am Gabbie. I learned later in life that I do not know how to manage my emotions. If you know me well enough, you’d understand why I named my blog as such. I was actually known to be “sensitive” since I was young. I’ve always tried to fight it because who would want to be vulnerable to the pains of  a desensitized, unsympathetic and mostly ignorant society? ( That was how I saw it then. ) Recently, I was diagnosed with Clinical Depression, and now here I am. ( I made it! ) I actually started blogging with the intention of showing it to my children in the future (hello, non existent offspring!), I wanted them to have this as a guide book in living their lives. But now, I just want to create a dialogue of positivity with whoever reads this.

Gabbie de Guzman is a 22 year old semi-adult living in Manila, Philippines.

Let’s talk! If you want to ask me anything ( and I mean ANYTHING), you can e-mail me here:
